Burdette, Evans, and Conway Headline the 2026 PLU Circle City Open

Indianapolis, Indiana – March 29, 2026

Devon Burdette and Khloe Evans led the 2026 PLU Circle City Open with top totals and Best Lifter wins.

The 2026 PLU Circle City Open brought a full day of lifting that built steadily from clean openers to high-risk third attempts, with a few standout performances separating themselves in both the Men’s Division and Women’s Division.

In the Men’s Division, Devon Burdette finished at the top overall with an 805 kg total (275 kg Squat / 227.5 kg Bench / 302.5 kg Deadlift). As the flights got heavier, his numbers kept him at the front of the pack, and his total stood out once the rest of the top lifters settled into the 700 kg range.

Also in the Men’s Division, Tom Conway put together one of the most notable performances of the day with a 782.5 kg total (300 kg Squat / 182.5 kg Bench / 300 kg Deadlift). He was part of the heaviest flight, where the energy in the room peaked with big squat attempts, long setups, and a crowd that got louder with each lift. His top-end attempts helped anchor that final stretch of the meet.

In the Women’s Division, Khloe Evans set the standard with a 407.5 kg total (157.5 kg Squat / 75 kg Bench / 175 kg Deadlift), taking Best Lifter. Her third squat at 157.5 kg was one of the key moments of the day: she took her time with setup, finished the lift, and got three white lights.

The day itself followed a clear rhythm. Early flights were clean with almost no misses on openers and the pace moved quickly. By the time third attempts came around, the tone shifted. More lifters took risks, and that’s where things got interesting: a few missed commands, some close depth calls, and several state record attempts that either finished cleanly or just missed. Those judging calls, especially on heavier third attempts, added tension late in the session.

By the final flights, the room was fully engaged. The platform had shifted from clean execution to high-stakes attempts, with the top performances standing out strong. A great Powerlifting United meet hosted by Circle City Strength, featuring strong performances and a well-run platform from start to finish.
