Joseph Wetter delivered the top performance of the 2026 USA Powerlifting STS Battle, winning the Men’s Raw Junior 100 kg Division with a 767.5 kg total, while Kaylani Hansen earned a 410 kg total in the Women’s Raw Junior 70 kg Division.
The 2026 USA Powerlifting STS Battle ran long, loud, and packed from the first squat flight through awards. Spotters were moving fast, the crowd had settled in for the long haul, and every big pull started drawing people closer to the platform.
Joseph Wetter put together the biggest total of the meet competing in the Men’s Raw Junior 100 kg Division. He hit a 287.5 kg squat, a 172.5 kg bench press, and closed the meet with a 307.5 kg deadlift that got one of the loudest reactions of the night, finishing with a 767.5 kg total. The room picked up every time he approached the platform late in the meet, especially once the deadlifts started moving into the 300 kg range.
Mitchell Reade had one of the strongest performances pound-for-pound in the junior divisions. Competing in the Men’s Raw Junior 90 kg Division, he totaled 692.5 kg with a 252.5 kg squat, 165 kg bench press, and 275 kg deadlift. His second-attempt squat and deadlift were enough to secure first place before the final round even started.
Kaylani Hansen put together one of the cleanest meets of the day in the Women’s Raw Junior 70 kg Division. She went 9-for-9 and won the Division with a 410 kg total, finishing with a 150 kg squat, an 82.5 kg bench press, and a 177.5 kg deadlift. Early in the morning, while the venue was still filling up, Hansen set the tone with make after make.
One of the better moments of day came from Axel Ryan Legaspi in the Men’s Raw Teen III 125 kg Division. He finished with a 640 kg total, including a 285 kg squat that drew one of the louder reactions of the meet. By the time awards rolled around, his name came back up again as one of the more memorable performances from the teen divisions.
