Robinson and Tromm Take the Titles at the 2026 WPPL Pro

Arnold Sports Festival, Columbus, Ohio

The WPPL Pro Invitational at the 2026 Arnold Sports Festival delivered a compact, high-level field and a clear outcome: two lifters separating themselves through execution across all three lifts.

Ana Robinson and Ryan Tromm left with the top honors, each securing the WPPL World Championship in their division.

Ana Robinson Sets the Standard

Robinson was the most complete lifter of the meet. She won the women’s title with 557 DOTS, the highest score on either side, and backed it up with the largest female total at 1261 pounds.

She also took the best squat award with 490 pounds, giving her both overall and individual lift recognition. More importantly, she avoided costly misses and built her total methodically—something that separated her in a close field.

Taylor Ballinger finished second at 551 DOTS, within striking distance throughout, while Chantelle Gauci took third at 521 DOTS and won the best deadlift with 523 pounds.

Ryan Tromm Wins a Tight Men’s Field

The men’s side was closer. Ryan Tromm secured the title with 544 DOTS, edging out Nick Forte (540) and Thomas O’Hotzke (534).

Tromm also posted the heaviest total of the meet at 2099 pounds, which ultimately reinforced his position at the top. The gap between first and second came down to execution rather than a single standout lift.

Top Individual Lifts

Several lifters stood out in single disciplines:

  • Squat
    • Andre Baguma — 881 lb
    • Ana Robinson — 490 lb
  • Bench Press
    • Bobby Gay — 567 lb
    • Nicole Jenkins — 297 lb
  • Deadlift
    • Shawn Crandall — 848 lb
    • Chantelle Gauci — 523 lb

The meet followed a familiar WPPL pattern: small margins at the top, aggressive attempts, and a mix of all-around competitors and lift specialists.

Robinson was the clearest overall performer, combining the highest DOTS with multiple awards. Tromm’s win came in a tighter race but was supported by the biggest total in the field.

The result was a meet decided by consistent execution across nine attempts.
